‘Playtime’ is a lovely design and a clever pattern which shows how a single traditional patchwork block made of squares and half-square triangles can be used to create four striking and very different quilt designs just by varying the colours in the block.
The pattern can easily be adapted to make a much large quilt or smaller quilt.
With detailed instructions. the pattern guides you through cutting your fabric, preparing and piecing the blocks, and includes notes on preparing the quilt backing, wadding, layering up and binding.
Detailed layout diagrams show the exact arrangement of Janet’s blocks and fabrics so, you can confidently re-create each of Janet’s four designs.
Delightfully easy to sew together for all the children in your life or better yet, help and encourage them to make one for themselves. Jolly quilts to grow up with!
My mini versions of the quilts are made using a yardage from my ''Freya and Friends' fabric collection for Moda and the back of the pattern (a picture is included with this listing) shows detailed fabric requirements to piece the front, back and bind for each of the colourways.
There are also little colour swatches, to help you choose the fabrics for your favourite design.
Which design will you make? Eeny, meeny, miny, mo….
The finished quilt measures 60 x 84 inches.
