We're happy to service almost any machine, with a special focus on Janome, Bernina, and Pfaff. Your machine will be in great hands with our expert technician! What's Included? 

• Cleaning: Dust, lint, and debris are eliminated from different components, like the bobbin area, feed dogs, and tension mechanisms. This aids in issue prevention and extends the machine's lifespan.
• Oil: Essential moving parts are oiled with appropriate machine oil to reduce friction and ensure smooth operation.
• Adjustment: Tension settings, stitch length, and other adjustments are made to ensure the machine sews accurately and evenly.
• Inspection: The technician checks for wear and tear on components like the needle, presser foot, and belts. Any worn parts may be replaced.
• Testing: The machine is tested with different fabrics and stitch types to ensure everything functions correctly.
• Documentation: A service record may be created, noting any repairs made and future maintenance recommendation

Do I Need To Book In?

There is no need to book in your machine for a service. Simply come by the shop and drop your machine with one of the Sew Knit Craft Team. Once you're here, we will take all your details including any specific issues you may have with your machine. 

What do I Need To Bring? 

When bringing your machine for servicing, please ensure to include the electrical components, such as the plug and foot pedal. We also recommend bringing the machine in a case or with its cover, if available. If you do not have a case or cover, a bag or box can be used as an alternative. If you are unable to provide a cover, that is perfectly fine.

How Long Does It Take? 

We strive to ensure that all machines are returned to the shop and ready for collection within 10 working days. If you need your machine back sooner, please contact us and we will try our best! 

How Much Does It Cost? 

Machine service starts at £90 which covers all the previously mentioned services. The cost will only increase if your machine requires a replacement part. We will never replace anything on your machine without calling you to obtain your approval, to proceed with the repair.

Bernina Series 4,5 & 7: Start from £110 

Where Can I Park? 

We understand that parking can be limited in our beautiful city of Cambridge. Please rest assured that we will do our best to assist you with your machine as quickly as possible as we are very aware of the given time constraints associated with parking!

1. Grafton Centre Car Park - Located just a short walk away, this parking facility offers ample spaces.
2. Park Street Car Park - A bit further from the shop but still within walking distance.
3. Castle Hill Car Park - Another nearby option, although it may have limited spaces.

It's always a good idea to check for availability or any parking fees before your visit!
